Has been growing in my New Art Spaces Leigh studio (www.castlefieldgallery.co.uk) over recent months. After not seeing them for a while following my accident, I really liked the odd shapes and the subtlety of the wild blackberry body prints. So I have and still am making bigger and smaller shapes. The soft shapes also get re-arranged and photograped every week and I want to develop this making or arranging in body shapes...
Here is a recent image of a Great Crested Grebe, unmistakable in it’s summer head and neck plummage, working on it’s nest opposite the Tom Edmondson Hide on Pennington Flash Country Park, Leigh. Kenneth Prescott sent it especially for this website. Many thanks!
Here is a larger group of foot prints I made on paper with blackberry juice and inks last week. It is my left foot and I find it interesting the different marks it makes as it still moves differently and cannot take my weight fully. I made this very quickly, taking care of my foot. It really reminds me of the Ice Age Art exhibition that I went to see at the British Museum a few years ago.
Kenneth Prescott, after seeing images of my mark-making with my feet sent this imprint made by another local, a roe deer.
